Martial Arts Arizona

In March of 2012, Bushin Ryu Aiki Bujutsu – Martial Arts Arizona was officially accredited and registered as a recognized style (Ryu) of Bujutsu or Japanese Martial Arts system by Sensei Boedeker Chairman of the Nippon Martial Arts Renmei (International Japanese Martial Arts Society) at an International Conference in Lohne, Germany. Kaiso D’Antonoli was recognized as its Founder. Bushin Ryu Aiki Bujutsu was the first non-traditionally taught style of traditional Japanese martial arts, founded by a non-Japanese, to receive such recognition by the International Japanese Martial Arts Society and martial arts community.

Bushin Ryu Aiki Bujutsu – Martial Arts Arizona

In 2011, Kaiso D’Antonoli officially named his style of Japanese martial arts “Bushin Ryu Aiki Bujutsu”. The name Bushin Ryu translates from Japanese as “The Authentic and True Methods” or “Authentic and Truthful School” and bespeaks the synergy achieved in the combination of the various martial arts and principles that form the backbone of our martial system. This name clearly identifies it and sets it apart from other “traditional” styles of Japanese martial arts. It is also referred to as “the most historically” accurate in terms of curriculum offering insights into the Sengoku period of Japan’s feudal era. Martial Arts Arizona – Bushin Ryu Aiki Bujutsu is an extremely versatile discipline of self protection that includes and extensive variety of strikes, joint locks, an understanding of ‘pressure points’ or vital targets known in Japanese as Kyusho-jutsu, ground survival, immobilizations, and weapon usage/disarming techniques. Bushin Ryu Aiki Bujutsu taught in the Martial Arts Arizona program is the first and only truly comprehensive reality-based martial system. It is SAFE and enjoyable to learn, exciting to teach and it provides practical solutions to real life situations. Martial Arts Arizona is ideal for those individuals (such as many women, busy professionals, law enforcement officers, etcetera) who do not have the time, desire or ability to commit themselves to the study of the old style kata & sparring American martial arts of the past and further are not interested in a flashy or dangerous martial sport.

Martial Arts Arizona – Bushin Ryu offers dynamic concepts based on scientific principles of anatomy and biokinetics as well as psychology, strategy and consideration for legal and moral implications. It is well suited for men and women of all sizes because physical strength and athletic abilities are not the strategies used in good technical abilities. The emphasis is on redirecting the attacker’s force and controlling the attacker with minimal effort on your part.

Bushin Ryu Aiki Bujutsu for Instructors:

Bushin Ryu is for open minded martial arts instructors who are serious about their technical development and are seeking to evolve to a new level of understanding and ability. The martial arts arizona system can be taught as the primary program and easily introduced into any martial arts school.

Bushin Ryu Aiki Bujutsu – Martial Arts Arizona is the result of nearly 30 years of Martial Arts / Self-Defense study, research, application and synthesis. It differs from other martial arts styles in several technical areas. Following are some examples:

  • Martial Arts Arizona, Bushin Ryu, is 100% Self-Defense. There are no forms (Kata in Japanese, Hyungs in Korean) in this system.
  • All Bushin Ryu kicks are directed to the lower part of the body. We DO NOT teach “acrobatics” or flying kicks etcetera.
  • Bushin Ryu employs Ukemi and learning safely how to take falls and throwing techniques in a very safe and structured manner.
  • The Martial Arts Arizona program is NOT a sport and cannot be modified nor regulated to be one. There are NO competitions, tournaments or championships.
